I was at my house and i live on dayton blvd. and i was liek freaking out because it was like behind us and our eyes were like glued to the tv the whole time. it was scary specially when i heard it was near my grandmothers house becuz she lives near chesterfrost and she nearly missed it by a mile.

@csharpner I think that's the one I wasn't sure about. I was at the sister of a friend's apartment and we were freaked out by how calm it was outside for such stormy weather. But that accounts for what...4 in the past 15 years? ouch.

In 1997, there was a major F3 that started here: 35.029316,-85.182263
and ripped up everything through about here: 35.027406,-85.110233
It knocked down a wall at Home Depot, tore off the roof at several apartments, cut across I-75 to that neighborhood behind Hamilton place, leveling several homes, went down the East side of Igou Gap, tearing down all the trees (modifying it's appearance, to this day), cut through a new neighborhood, reducing some of the new, big houses to splinters...

lol...in the past 15 years 2 tornados touched down on Dayton Blvd in Red Bank TN pretty much at the same time, I'm trying to remember if there was another either a year or two before that or after...either way.. We don't expect these things but the blizzard of '93 in March of all times and the tornado yesterday shows us it does happen here.
