Did you get a massage at the lounge? If so do you need to tip them and how much. Thanks.

good analysis. I agree.

How come you think people are "mistaking" when they make a comment saying SQ FAs are robotic? People can perceive whatever they like. Robotic is robotic, period.
Yes, TG has older planes but SQ is robotic.
They both just have to fix their problems.

I agree that techy stuff doesn't compare to service as BA has a nice CW seat but poor service......but it does count a good deal for the overall experience and SQ seems to innovate in all areas. I've found Thai to play it safe and also have consistency issues. MH has never been anything that great to me and although they are good I would rather take Thai.

I have not found the service unnatural. I have taken flights with both carriers and have found them to both have the best crew I've experienced; SQ even better as the quality to detail is extraordinary. Some people just sometimes mistake the professionalism for "robotic." I also know people who were Singapore Girls and from all the hospitality research and experience I've done I've come to my conclusions.

Thanks for your comment! But I still insist that I + friends in hospitality sector perceive Singapore's service as very unnatural, especially the smiles...
BTW, I'm neither Singaporean nor Thai, in fact from the UK. Still prefer Thai or Malaysia years to come. I personally don't really regard having hi - tech + large aircrafts as a tremendous advantage for airline service, when the style of service is not that warm.
I wouldn't blame Singapore for having plastic services considering the peopple in Singapore I have met. No where close to a local Thai. I guess its more like a culture issue. But compared from what I have really seen, I think SQ is already really good at improving their service minds, while Thai people already have that since it's how they are raised.
