Woohoo!!
I used a tamm yarn and it worked terrific.

okay, thanks, I think that is what the problem is..I am using a thin yarn, but it is not very slinky, and I think it is trying to get caught on stuff. So I am going to try it with a thinner yarn. I really appreciate your work.

HI Diana,
I am playing with my ribber today, and following your tutorials to do it.
but I am having an issue with this one by one...I can do the circular but than when I try to knit the rib itself it keeps locking up on me. Any suggestions?

Oh, good! I wish all new knitters had a cone of the skinny stuff on hand, just to get started. And, cone yarn is waxed for better feeding into a machine.

For full needle rib cast-on use a VERY thin yarn. Make sure, for a bulky, that it is sock weight or thinner, that is thinner than the lead in a wooden pencil. For a standard, it should be about twice as skinny as that.
