Scenario - Drunk Car accident since Ben is a post traumatic alcoholic and Jane (his Gf) suffers.
Ending - Ben gives his life to the "Evil Angel" in place of Jane. Though this is all a dream since Jane dies in "Diary of Jane" This could of been his Phobia taking control of Ben and drew him into the darkness, hence his dark clothing and ballads through future songs. He realized that there was only one thing to do
