On Fox & Friends this morning a spirited debate on the new policy regarding nuclear weapons got out of hand when it turned personal and nasty. But hey, that's what makes good tv!

  • Yeah, I just don't see a problem with drawing down the arsenal. Honestly, what is the point of 10,000 nukes? There aren't 10,000 countries on earth and even if there were that would make them small. There is no need for 10,000 nukes. I think the guy on the left misrepresented the reason for cutting the nuke number.

  • This guy starts off with an analogy to a movie. FAIL.

  • how do you spell this CIARANCIONI guy'z name??

  • @Senka085 You claim "we have 2300 strategic deployed nukes." This is interesting, but what is your source of this information? Is it posted on a government website anywhere? If so can you provide a link? Thanks.

  • Assbag loser thebboss, we dont have 10,000 nukes! Commie Joe was just making crap up. We have about 2300 strategic deployed nukes. You suck ball sweat you fuktard.

  • The guy one the left is a fag!!

  • @jlstark23 True, although in CFR's defense, they spend a lot more time thinking about these issues than most other people.

Nuclear weapons policy isn't something that you should just come up with on the fly. It merits serious thought and if CFR is willing to do that, I'm all for it. I still haven't heard any arguments on how the administration's new efforts are harming the safety or military prowess of the country. But please, I'm all ears.

  • @aorosu Just because you hear something from the Council on Foreign Relations dosn't make it right.

  • @jlstark23 Its a pretty serious issue, and this Rick character is trying to fly some bullsh**.

  • The idea that the new nuclear reduction treaty with Russia in any way makes the country less safe is nonsense. Partisan politics aside, the United States has the strongest conventional force in the world. The only way that any other country would be able to realistically attack the US is through nuclear weapons. If we can work to lessen the chance of that happending by reducing global stockpiles of nukes, then I'm all for it. Sounds like common sense to me.

  • So he can say "I think that's a phony argument" and "Rick is naive" but when Rick says "I think that's a left wing fantasy" he flips out? What a hypocrite this guy is. And he acts like Gates is some kind of genius or somthing. Dude needs to take a chill pill.

  • hehehehe. What a child.
