Mazda RX8 Track Day at Sanair

October 2007 at the Sanair track close to Montreal. These are videos from a track day with the Sunday Cup Lapping Club (SCLC). Unfortunately, I could only film the 3 first sessions out of 5 because the battery on the camera died. The latest were the best... But these aren't bad neither.

I've had too much comments on previous videos on my choice of music, so I thought I will add no background music on this one. The rotary sound is a melody itself anyways :)

And btw, when this video was made, the car was stock except for the tires. It now has the brakes modded too.

Just watched your vid tonight (or this morning 4am here) and I must say that made me love my RX8 even more. On a small track with few straight a ways the RX8 dominates. What kinds of tires where you running? I had the P Zero Nero's on mine and yes they were good tires I just don't feel they are as good as the price tag is for them. ( I don't care about price just if I pay for exceptional tires I want just that not good tires). Were you running the stock 18 rims?

@311ZeroCool Hey thanks for the comment! I am not sure if I had already changed the tires back when the vid was taken or not, so it was either the stock tires or Hankook K104... And yes, stock 18".... I had a set of 17" for the winter tires :)

Where did you mount the camera?

@bigmanathome24 It was mounted to the rear window using a suction cup car mount. Just search on ebay for car camera mount ;)

@simobk that's prolly cause they focused more torque lower in the power band to make up for the longer gears.
