  • @MelosAntropon I would like to hear your recording of this. It truly must be magnificent.

@ zippylad77 You are very gracious. I thought your rendition was excellent. I second those that said this was very reminiscent of Fox.

  • @novemberrain212 Thank you very much! It is very flatterering to be even likened to Virgil!

  • Brilliant! Absolutely!

  • @DbrynbettwsCF32 Thank you. I might do a better version of this at some point!

  • Hi, Zip. I've commented before (on your Preston). Technically, you've got this work in your palm. But it's a dime fast, and "swimmy " in articulation. Ease it back a trice, explore a drier touch, and *enjoy* playing it! (What's the hurry?) A more gradual approach to the increase in registration would be good, too. Try starting it off with flute 8', 4', 2' registration only. Then build! Your 92% of the way there now. I am sure you can do this flawlessly. Play on, brother!

  • @MelosAntropon Thank you! I'll certainly take your comments on board if I ever rerecord this

  • Nice job.

Afriend of mine studied with Fox,and said he was a bitch of a teacher.

Always said"If you don't have rhythym, I don't want you".

I think you have rhythym, zippy.

  • Very nice. Good tempo, a nice piece well played.

  • wish i could play the organ like that....awesome...

  • do a search an you can find the link to purchase the CD reissue of the encores recording. - won't let me post the link here

  • This is an excellent performance, very much a match to the original one on the Virgil Fox "Encores" recording - of which I have the Vinyl LP with my cover autographed by Virgil Fox himself.

Very similar tempo and phrasing as Virgil would do it himself.

  • The faster tempo makes it a more exuberant rendition. Bravo. The text can be interpreted as a celebratory proclamation as opposed to devotional mutterings.
