@xxxCRAZYLOVExxx the .45-70 Government cartridge has been in continuous production since 1873. With the proper rifle (like my Marlin 1895 Cowboy model) and ammo (like Buffalo Bore or Garrett Cartridges), you can hunt any land critter known to man. That Magnum Research BFR revolver he's shooting can't handle those high power loads. He's shooting a big bore rifle cartridge through a handgun

This is what happened to Dog the bounty hunter?

i was expecting burnt fingers the first 3 or 4 seconds in...too bad that didn't happen, could've taught great lessons in gunpowder and idiots
-
Shit! Now, THAT'S what I call a fucking dinosaur gun!
-
@xxxCRAZYLOVExxx Way more powerful than either!
-
aren't you a bad ass.
-
@jonathanknight89 How can you even tell he has no ear pro? The video is terribly low res.

No eye protection, no ear protection, and finger on the trigger the whole time. Great skills guys, should be deaf and blind in no time doing that crap.
I haven't shot the 50 cal or the 500 but the 45-70 is a large caliber. It has the capability to go high on the powder and can be quite strong. I can't really help on wether it has as much strhength as the 50 or the 500 cal. I like the 45-70 for a lot of reasons. This caliber can take down any large game on the planet is my favoirte.

Seemed like trap door ammo. My hand loads pushing a 405 Lasercast are decidedly more 'aggressive' :) Around the 1600 fps region. Great gun. It features in my vid here - youtube.com/watch?v=cA9RQnIgt0s

@jpfo1776 , I am still learning about reloading. I have an original 1881 Marlin Reload tool for Black Powder reloading in the field. It is an all in one tool whcih cuts the paper patches and does the lead mold and so on. I will look into as much advice as I am able to do. Thanks for the info and I like your vid. Thanks

@TheShieldsMD , It's an Austrailian Outback Coat. Ilove it. You can get one anywhere they sell the Outback supplies. I got mine in Gatlinburg at the Outback leather shop.

I will try to post the total numbers of what I shoot when I get the stats. I am going to try to make some more vids but do not know when. I have some new ammo I am going to try. It will be faster and more pressure. I like the 45-70 because I picked up an original Marlin Reload Tool when I was in the Navy. This Load will take down any Large game on the planet. I LIKE IT!
