Who is best equipped to play Superman in Christopher Nolan's upcoming Man of Steel movie? Is it Smallville's Tom Welling, or Superman Returns' Brandon Routh? Only you can say for sure. Tell me who you want and why in the comments section below. Now we all know that neither will star as Superman in The Man of Steel because Henry Cavill took the job, but thanks for watching anyway!
Tom Welling - Clark Kent/Superman on 'Smallville'.
Brandon Routh - Clark Kent/Superman in 'Superman Returns'. Also played Daniel Shaw on 'Chuck'.
Christopher Reeve - Clark Kent/Superman in 'Superman: The Movie', 'Superman II', 'Superman III', and 'Superman IV: The Quest For Peace'. Also played Virgil Swann on 'Smallville'.
Henry Cavill will play Clark Kent/Superman in the 'Superman' reboot in 2012.

That Brandon guy is so bland, he did nothing for the role.I was a fan of the old Superman movies but I never was interested in nor did I ever watch Smallville.

I think Tom Welling is the best guy for the upcoming movie. He played Clark Kent / Superman for like 10 years. He looks better in the suit than Brandon, and I think Tom is a better actor. But I don't understaind why they took another actor for the job in the first place. Why would you change the actor?

@lyonaldo94 I agree with what you're saying, but they had to change the actor because the Smallville Universe and the Man of Steel Universe are two separate things and the studios don't want to confuse people.

I like Brandon Routh. I don't think Tom Welling will play superman in the costume, because I think he told Christopher Reeve that he wouldn't out of respect.

@mozeus5 Right. That's why he didn't wear the full suit in Finale. Although, I think he would do it now, because Smallville's over.
