i was looking at 2 15" kicker CVXs in a ported box, instead i went with 2 12" jbl p1222s in a ported enclosure, they really push a lot of air (powered by Soundstream pcx2000d). A friend with 2 15" kicker L7s even told me they pound just as hard, but cleaner bass. I have 400-500 rms to each.

really? whoops...as soon as I got mine I was pretty much blasting them. I've had no problems with them.....but if what you say is right, they might not last very long..lol.

Damn, I've got two of those for about a year and a half now,,,they stiff as a 3 day old shit. If you read the manual you suppose to run the bass and sound low for 20 hours so that you can extend the lefe expectancy. My speakers at full power start to smell like toasted wire but it turned out to be the pressure of the bass started cracking holes in my box...nice vid

Shytt nicee dude.... i got 2 12" p1224's and they dont move like that, how long have u hand the sub running for, and what amp you using?
Ive had the sub for a few years, pretty much since it came out. its still bumpin hard. im powering it with a kenwood kac 7252 amp, wired up at 4 ohms bridged pushin 500 watts rms. if you want to make yours pound id suggest an alpine 1.1000 amp, its a thousands watts rms at any ohm and its 4,2, and 1 ohm stable, but costs an arm and a leg. i plan on using 2 of them to power four p1224's in the near future.
