We lost a beloved and prolific singer of our time today just short of her 74th Birthday... rest in peace Etta James (January 25, 1938 - January 20, 2012).
"This Time of the Year" is a 1959 Christmas song with music & words by Cliff Owens & Jesse Hollis. Arrangements by pianist Cedar Walton and solos by Walton, George Bohanon on trombone and Red Holloway on tenor saxophone.
