I was impressed when I heard his version after Mr Hoyle's. There is indeed a lot more in his version.
BUT to hear the three of them match step immediately after hearing the corrections and building that wild crescendo is indeed a treat.
If I were Tortelier, I would count that as one of the great rare privileges of his life as a composer and instructor.

wow. I have incomprehensible babbleings of joy running through my head after hearing this man teach what he loves.
I've never picked up a cello in my life, I think I may take a ride to the local luthier shop tomorrow and see what they have.

Well Jacqueline died on the 19th of October, so this likely would have been before she died

I wonder the month, because Jacqueline du Pre died this same year and Tortelier sounds a bit sad when he talks about Her in the earlier videos. Does anyone know?
