  • Yes they should have the choice. That's why they do. Why are you trying to take away their choice? No one screens without consent. Look it up. And how do you know these people aren't Scientologists? Are you one?

  • Like I said in the first post, No I'm not a scientologist. Does it matter what religion I follow, or if I'm not even religious at all? "No one screens without consent." Google Chelsea Rhoades.

  • I've done the research. Not everything on the internet is true. Duh. TeenScreen is NOT funded by Pharmacudical companies. It is NOT mandatory, it is up to the parent and student to decide if they want to participate. It does NOT make treatment recommendations. Don't you want families and children to decide for themselves? It seems you want to take away their choices. You're Tom Cruise, aren't you? Post the truth and let the people decide.

  • No, I'm not Tom Cruise. Are you David Shaffer? Leslie McGuire? Laurie Flynn? Do you work for Big Pharma?

  • Teenscreen says: "If your local mental health screening program is approved by the Board of Education as part of the educational program, you are not required to get active parental consent under PPRA." Schools should educate pupils. Doctors should screen for illnesses. I'm not taking away anyone's choices. But if children are screened in schools as "part of the educational program", it sure as hell looks as though they and their parents have little choice. Doesn't it?

  • Notice all the anti-TeenScreen videos are the same people? Scientology at work!

  • Nice try. I'm not a scientologist. Nor are Drs. Ann Blake Tracy, Joseph Glenmullen, Mary Ann Block, Jeanne M. Stolzer, Stefan P. Kruszewski and many other doctors against this screening, and the numerous parents who've witnessed their children's adverse effects, or worse, have lost their children to suicide caused by antidepressants. "Scientology at work" indeed. Do some research before posting.

  • To MANDATE our children take psychotropic drugs because a psychiatrist says so is beyond good sense. Completely beyond good sense. It reeks of totalitarianism. For God's sake, some of the school shooters were taking psychotropic drugs!

  • maybe we should all just smash our tvs , eat good food, relax outside, and chill the fuck out. the world s a beautiful place.

  • i think this teenscreen commission is absolute crap. look at our children, really...do any of them look insane, no. the world around them ? yes.

this will be the end of us. the kids are normal. the kids can be happy. and i dont know about you, but if my kids threw a book at a teacher, couldnt focus on a problem, or was overly hyperactive,...the last thing i would do would be to put them on psychotropic medication.

  • ok, i take a look at this situation. i come from perth in australia, where the over diagnosis of ADHD reaches 5 times the amount of every other state. every kid in school can get their hands on dexies(speed) the medication to treat.

  • I'm sorry. I don't mean to fight with you. I'm sorry if I offended you by assuming you are a Scientologist. All I mean to say is God Bless those who work with kids, those who are helping hurting kids, and those who have saved lives. However they have done it. Peace.
