@T33Dajaku No, they are pressing there adam's apple back and forth to get the fast change in pitch. Some guys in my tribe who are just starting singing do it until they get more experience.

Sometimes when you haven't been singing for a while, or if you're not used to this kind of singing, it can hurt your throat.
