    All the best Davie

  • Hi Davy,I was brought up in bellsbank and fished the Galloway hill lochs all my childhood and still try to fish them as often as I can, I remember the cock a bondhu fishing well on macaterick and riecawr, finlas, among others.I've been a spinning man most of my days, but at the tender age of 36 I've decided to try and fish properly(as I,m often reminded) ha,I've started tying salmon flies as well for the coming season on the Tyne, your tying videos are a real masterclass, cheers Davy, might meet you

  • Hi shellglen,

I lived in Mossdale Crescent for 9 years when I was a wee boy and all those lochs is where I went on my holidays, far better than Butlins. Like yourself I would spend many a day driving and fishing all around the Galloway hills as much as I could..If you are ever down that way and you see an old wine coloured Passat estate it will probably be me..Good Luck on the fly tying and fishing...

    All the best Davie

  • Hi Davie,I was hoping to pick your brains on a wet fly fished on lochs up the west coast and the Galloway hills called the mulranny pig,my father used to fish it on the bubble and fly on the dungeon hill lochs,he has told me it was tied using amethyst pheasant, cheers,John.

    Hi Davie

I havent had much time to fly fish been working alot latley.

Just been getting ready for a few tournaments that are coming up. We miss this months but I was really wanting to go all I had to do was catch one 14" bass on my fly rod and I would have had a lake record. The only one thats has been caught was a white bass 7 pounds and a few ounces. But all ways next time..

    Chance

  • As ever, brilliant. Thanks
