  • Ahhh thank you so much for posting these.

I'm on the JV team at my school, and when it

    comes to my footwork...it's pathetic.

    Thanks for the help!

  • no problem, theres better videos for it just remember hes demoing it your not really going to be that stiff or static when doing it on the court ok. you have to be fluient and able to move.

  • lol its funny when both the left hander and right hander do it at the same time. but is it okay to do a skip like that when it goes to ur left(refering to a right handed player)

  • when your right handed and it goes to your left yes its ok to hit it like that basically your trying to get into position to play an around the head or a forehand shot. for hitting it when its on your right if your right handed better to shuffle than to step over.

  • uhh isn't the non-racket foot supposed to go behind the racket foot not infront

  • for which shot are yu refering to? cause thats more or less what you do the 1st set they do they just cross over instead of shuffling

  • good

  • this is so old. no professional players play like this .

  • What happened to the split drop?

  • This is just plain stupid. It takes more than 2 steps to get to either rear corner. 4 just to get there and hit with a clear shot and yet another step (5 in total!!!) to position oneself to smash. Footwork? Torture in single games.

  • Key point.

Notice were the racket is positioned - it doesn't change.

Never, ever drop your racket. Keep it up always.

  • there are two popular ways

either the left foot half step n' leap

or the right foot double shuffles

shuffles are easier, steady, saves energy, but slower

half step/leap is basically what LD does, inconsistent, consumes some stamina, but much faster

    there is no good/bad

    only a matter of style

  • personally, i think its all about what you think works for you. or style.. koreans have their own style.. and msians n china have their own.. i personally like taufiks foot work (indo) and peter gade(denmark) i gez it just works better for me.

  • how bout lookin a the posting date...but youre quite right, machine :D

  • The footwork here is incorrect. If you watch the top players they don't move like this. In this vid they miss out the initial split drop to begin with. I don't think this video is a very recent one so the footwork might be a little dated.

  • Korean players are one of the top 5 in the world.. They are like Robot... everyone have the same footwork and style.. how could they be wrong..
