@1413sara Thanks Sara, I always consider all my paintings as "Practice" ones. I learn new things from each one that I can apply to the next. I definately need to practice drawing. I have not been carrying my sketch pad with me and I need to.

I thought you were spose to start from light colours and work your way down to the darkest shades?

@blindingsun Hi, Actually with oil painting you do the background dark shadows first and then work your way up to the lighter colors and then the light highlights. If you are doing watercolor then it may be a different process since you can't over paint on the dark colors.
