Terry Fox Rembered by Darryl Sittler

On July 11, 1980 Terry ran down University Avenue to Nathan Phillips Square in Toronto where a crowd of ten thousand people greeted him. That day he raised one hundred thousand dollars and his hockey idol, Toronto Maple Leafs player Darryl Sittler came out to meet Terry and show his support for The Marathon of Hope. He gave Terry his 1980 NHL All-Star jersey and declared him a superstar.

@BuddyNovinski Followup: It's 30 years today, and I've constructed that fantasy. Whatever the mind can conceive, it can beleive. It also helps the neurobics to execise the mind and avoid dementia and Alzheimer's. I will post it on my "Alternate 1980" website soon.

26 miles everyday on one leg. He was 22 when he died. I wonder how many cacer patients he has inspired.
