I think I'd like to separate sex from baby-making altogether. I don't know what you'd have to do to have babies, but it would be extremely difficult so there would be no way it could happen by accident. And then sex would just be, you know, for being groovy. Sex Gratia Sex!

@OgreVI that would be nice. Like a baby maker machine that you get as a wedding gift and you put in the garage or attic. Then when you want a baby you gotta get it out of storage and put it together and plug it in. Excellent idea!

I would change it so that both men and women have control over the fertility of their eggs/sperm (and whether or not either are released), and periods, if for whatever reason they still had to happen, would be accompanying by pleasure-creating drugs to counter the pain of spasms and bloating.

Our condolences on your fammily woes. I noticed you didn't touch on sex drives. in nature most species seem to have a stronger and weaker between mating pairs, as we see also in humans. So would it not make sense to condider alteration to even out the sex drives between mated couples, or groups. Not that I think change without great study prior to testing on a large scale would be a good idea. it ain't broke don't fix it!

@dgeypscun well infants are born with proportionally large eyes... makeup, at least now, seems to be women trying to regain their youthful appearance of being able to bear children. rosey cheeks (aka simulated blushing) was an old biological way of showing attraction (aka shame)... idk glowing skin, honestly i've never seen a real person glow; merely overexposed picture online so no comment on that. i still wish the traits exhibited themselves naturally often enough that makeup was unnecessary.

It takes place in an overpopulated future where they seek to control poplulation by having suicide parlors for those who want to check out and by mandating a moral type of birth control that makes everyone numb from the waist down. Check the summary of it at Wikipedia or better yet, find the book in a used book store or library (I love used book stores) and read it.

On the "sex" issue - I think the only change I'd make is conscious control over fertility :-)

For "most disappointed by" - I'd have to run with BinaryDogma - simply for her inability to live by the principles she preaches...

(Fundie - word to the wise - come out of the closet before I'm unable to distract Tamera any further with other dramas - especially since AJ's appointment with the Man in Grey...)
