MineCraft BETA 1.1 - How to Create a Bukkit Server - Port Forwarding (COMPLETE GUIDE)!

Hey Everyone! Its CookieQuake and I thought I might make a video on how to create your own Minecraft server! Not just any server though! A BUKKIT SERVER!

Bukkit Server:
A Bukkit Server is basically a server that gives you alot mroe options such as plugins and flymode, ETC! It also gives you give commands and any other default commands! So generally, these make for the best/most fun servers to play on. (IF YOU CAN GET IT RUNNING)! Which I'm going to show you how to do!

Step 1) - Make a folder for the Server on you desktop (NAME IS ANYTHING YOU WOULD LIKE)

Step 2) Download the CraftBukkit Software AT:
http://bukkit.org/

Step 3) Put that server software into the Folder you made earlier! Make sure it has no (1) or (2) at the end, Etc. Because then it will not work.

Step 4) Now download the Server Starter. (This will start the java program up and make all of the files needed for the server) you also have to have this open to be able to log into the server!

Step 5: Place the server starter into the Folder you made earlier!

Step 6: Start the server up and wait for it to say, "Done". This will create all the necessary files needed.

Step 7: Go to your Start Menu and type in on the search: "Cmd" (No quotations)

Step 8: Cick on the CMD that pops up and then a black window should open up.

Step 9: Without doing anything type in, ipconfig. No spaces.

Step 10: Look for wireless LAN Adapter Wireless Network Connection. And Then look for the IPv4 Adress. Copy that number into the server.properties file in your server folder.

Step 11: Go back to the CMD and looked for, Default Gateway. Copy that number into the search bar of any browser! (No www. or .com!)

Step 12: Type in the user name and password to your router.

Step 13: GOTO: Port Forwarding/Port Triggering.

Step 14: Click on, "ADD A CUSTOM SERVICE"

Step 15: Name it anything you want.

Step 16: For the Starting Port Type In: 25565
And for the Ending Port Type In: 25565

Step 17: Then type in your IPv4 Adress you saw earlier! And then click Apply or Save!

Step 18: Open up minecraft and go to Multiplayer

Step 19: To log into the server make sure you have the server starter opened and then type in your IPv4 Address.

Step 20: If this doesnt work then type in your (IPv4 Adress):25565
This will make it so the port can connect better. Okay, so even though you can connect to this IP. Everyone else CANT. SO your going to need to give them an OUTSIDE IP so that they can enter the server. You can find your OUTSIDE IP by going to: http://cmyip.com/
That will be the number you give out to everyone so they can connect!

To connect to YOUR server: IPv4 Address along with a :25565 if that doesnt work

For others to connect to your Server: Outside IP address (Tell everyone the Outside IP address because otherwise they cant connect with anything else!)

Hey, I start the server and it comes up, but when ever I click on it to join, it says " Connection Lost..... End of Stream" It says it is taking to long to log in, so it shuts off. Is there any way to fix this? BTW i did port forward and port trigger

hi i have a dlink dir615 and i cant portfward I NEED HELP NAO!!!!!... ok when i click forward a  port is all fine untill after i enter all the ports and stuff and later it says "succesfully portforwarded"when i tell my firends to join the server it dont work and yes i told them my "outside ip" ... so i got pfportchecker and checked. I CANT PORT FORWARD IT SAYS THAT GOOGLE CHROME CAN'T FIND THE PAGE HELP ME PLEASE
