why is everyone hating on everyone?
it doesn't matter how you tape your blade. I can guarantee that every possible way to tape your stick is exhibited in the NHL. Everyone in the NHL tapes their stick a different way.
some people use wax on top of the tape. some people use stick tape..
if you're good. you're good. whatever works for you is fine.
stop hating people.

When i tape my sticks which i been doing for 25 yrs is i use 2 rolls together one backwards glue out from blade and one glue against blade i layer it so that every other row has tape out and glue out
and i tape from center to toe then center to heel like everyone says it is a preference ,,but it works for me ,,and i got the goals to prove it , and remember to shoot for the goalies ear ,,you will always get the high corner
