Ok here is another try at this classic Beano tune. This time I recorded at full volume with the Metro 45, celestion gold 2x12 cab and the R8 historic and... NO PEDALS. This time around I think I got the sting goin' pretty well, especially at this volume. I got a little bit carried away, but with no vocals to play around, I figured what the hell.
Same recording set up as usual, sennheisser 609 close mic'd and the Rode NT1A baced off to about 8 feet. A smidge of reverb was added to the close mic to try and capture that ambient feel from the original recording.
Stay tuned for take 3, only this time with the 20 watt 4x12. You guys be the judge on which cab sounds the best and the most vintage to the original recording.
