In case you missed it, here's another chance to see a few highlights from the last total lunar eclipse until 2014... Unfortunately, viewing conditions from Santa Clarita were less than ideal due to a bank of cirrus clouds which graced the skies just before the eclipse began. There were a few brief breaks in the heavier cloud cover, but never a perfectly clear moment, so most of these shots are plagued with fuzzy, blurry, and hazy images. 4 different cameras captured various angles and magnifications to help make the show a little more interesting in spite of the less-than-perfect conditions. Earlier in the night a nice moonbow provided some pre-eclipse entertainment as well. All in all, a decent show =)

Since the dawn of man's awareness he has looked up to the sky to take comfort in knowing that he is not alone even in solitude as a familiar friend smiles down upon him. After 2 million years you would think that such a familiar face would now be taken for granted. Such is not the case as demonstrated in this video. Like an old friend this marvel still stimulates the senses with marvel and awe. No other video I've ever watched has come close to portraying this warmth and wonderment.
