Fearne Cotton looks back on her week so far in Uganda, where she has been helping with the mass distribution of anti-mosquito nets in the Hoima district of western Uganda. Along with fellow Kili climbers - Gary, Ben, Kimberley and Chris - Fearne helped raise over £3.5 million for Comic Relief as part of Red Nose Day 2009. Much of the money raised is being spent on supplying half a million insecticide treated nets to the people of Uganda, where malaria is the number one killer of children under five.
I bet the trip was the biggest eye opener any of you could have, its fantastic that these nets can make such a huge difference to these peoples lives and also so tragic that such a basic thing has not been available before.
