At Eastern Michigan University you better believe as they do or be kicked out!

They have kicked out Julea Ward for not believing as they do. She transfered a gay student to someone who believed as he did, but the school still said she hade to go to 'remediation'/indoctrination classes because she did not believe as they do. She refused, and they kicked her out!

WHAT KIND OF INTOLERANT, NAZIISTIC, SOCIALISTIC, INTOLERANT, CRAP IS THAT!!!! To go to a public school you have to believe their way?

What is next? Internment camps for re-indoctrination? Concentration camps for the true Christians?

This is the same thing that the Nazis did before WW2. This in not new ideas. These are the same old failed ideas from 60 years ago!

  • @EvanJBest - You are of the people that beat other people with words like religion and secularism. What it comes down to is I believe you have the right to believe as you do and say so, but you believe I don't have the right to believe what I do and say it. That is not freedom, but oppression.

We all have beliefs that we make decisions from no mater if you call them religion or secular.

I will pray to God for you.

  • "Separation of Church and State" You really want to go there? This came from a letter written from the Danbury Baptist to Thomas Jefferson and his reply.

Danbury Babtists-who seek after power & gain under the pretense of government & Religion should reproach their fellow men

Thomas Jefferson-"make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof," thus building a wall of separation between Church & State.

That is about making laws, not beliefs of people.

  • @EvanJBest - when did she push her beliefs? She never pushed her beliefs. She referred someone to another councilor, so that people like you would not say she 'pushed her beliefs'.

"EMU is a secular college and would allow the secular view over the religious. Also, all beliefs are tolerated there".. Those two statements are a oxymoron. Apparently ALL views are not tolerated as explain by you in the first statement. You logic is flawed. Any view over another is unfair.

  • @EvanJBest - Read the story. She did not say "I think you're an abomination of God and I can't help you". You are making that up. She said, "I can't help you". By the way, in your hypocritical fashion, you did not answer my last question about helping my wife and me. So do I assume you "refuse to help me". And the car analogy does work if you have logic.

You believe you should be able to say what you want, but I should not be able to say what I want. That simple.

  • @EvanJBest -I did read your statement. She referred the man to someone else which is NOT the same as refusing to help someone. If she refused to help him she would have said 'I refuse to help you' and not referred him to anyone.

fascist - radical and authoritarian. If you kick people out and re-indoctrinate, that is authoritarian and fascist. If you can't fallow logic, I can't help you.

We are going around and around, so I see no point in continuing. I have made it clear.

  • @EvanJBest - She did not try to shift him, or change his views, she referred him to another person. So you agree that a secular collage is intolerant to religious views. So you think it is ok for you to 'shift' people to your views, but not ok for me to 'shift' people to my views. You are taking your stand due to your religion, atheism. How hypocritical and arrogant you are. Like I said closed minded.

  • @bfrance2002 Furthermore, the reason why my view would be accepted more readily than yours is that, again, EMU is a secular college and would allow the secular view over the religious. Also, all beliefs are tolerated there, there is just a difference between having beliefs, and pushing to have them become reality; this goes back to "Separation of Church and State", being a secular college, religious views cannot affect school policy in any way, lest it defy this principle.

  • @bfrance2002 Plus, your analogy does not work here, as this isn't "Oh, I don't know anything about your car, you had better go here", it's "I think you're an abomination of God and I can't help you, so go here".

  • @EvanJBest Had you read my statement, you would see that I was NOT saying that you were blatantly opposed to helping someone, I said that she was. And, as aforementioned, EMU is a secular state-funded college and does not and cannot sponsor various religious beliefs, therefore, if you think you're "helping" people get rid of this "sin" through "God" you're sorely disillusioned. Also, you haven't explained why the school is fascist, all you've done is put "fascist" at the end of your statement.

  • @bfrance2002 Ah, but therein lies the problem. You have every right, just as anyone else, to say what you please, and so does she, she was not being denied the right to dissent; however, she was taking her stance due to religion. And when I say EMU is not a Christian college, I mean to say that it is a secular college, and therefore has every right to disregard her attempting to shift this person she was counseling.
