deeaaath is right, after the 5th symphony (with much meddling from the Soviet leaders) Shostakovich turned from symphonies to chamber music (which were more private) to express his feelings in his composition.
if you watch the original documentary (the war symphonies) on youtube, you'll realise that this vid was made from footage cut out from the documentary. so the intro of the 6th may have been included accidentally.
simply search 'the war symphonies' on youtube. alot of it is in russian though, and the subtitles are in spanish, which is why i came to this video...
