I love both; but here Bjoerling is better.

In my opinion Björling sings this aria better than Caruso but the Caruso-recording is perhaps older than that from Björling so that influences the quality. But even so Björling has a voice and technique which no one after him has matched! He is The tenor of tenors. :-)

Is it possible to upload this in its entirety? Two of my favorite tenors and my absolute favorite male aria....Some have accused Bjorling of a steely, unemotional, although technically sublime, voice. I find his voice has incredible emotion.

Very well said!

Gigli had a fantastic voice but it's hard to listen to him because he sobs and exaggerates. But the voice itself is sensational.
-
By the way Gigli had as Beautiful a voice as Jussi, perhaps not as great an artist for technique but the voice was just as beautiful he sobed but was warm and a sweet singer wgo sang in aida in big houses and in Forza even with a lyric voice.

Hi Sefferpot. I don't like comparing anyone. Some singers I always like, some I don't, even though they are widely acclaimed. I could listen to these two all day. The fact that there is so much heated debate shows that people know both are great.
Great work buddy
