Mhill Cuni - Kenga Muriqi , Mal i Zi

Artist: Mhill Cuni (Shkodran)

This song is about the war Krajl Nikola declared againts the Albanian people in Muriqi, Montenegro (Bregu Liqeni Shkodres) In the late 1800's. He wanted to Kill all the Albanians and burn down the villages. The people there wouldnt have it and fought back. One notable man was Cano Hasa (Gjokaj) From a near by village of Rrepsa. He killed 13 Montenegrins alone. Unfoutantly he was eventually cauptered and brought to Cetinje, Montenegro were he was exectured by Krajl Nikola's men. All in all The Muriqi people and the Krajane's stood up for there land and the Serb/Montengrins eventually left.

Muriqi, Kraja and Shestani are still %100 Albanian today. Also it is a place were Muslim, Catholic and Orthodox Albanians live along side each other and are Pro-Albanian for the most part.
