@MzProgressive Providing healthcare distorts the market and is why prices continually rise thus pricing more and more people out of the market. We need less government and private health insurance. People don't shop around for their health services because they don't pay for it. This bids prices up.

@MzProgressive There is a huge difference between providing healthcare for someone and roads and defense. I don't support government funding for food studies or medicine either for the profits of private corporations. I don't believe in corporate socialism( mercantilism) or socialism.

If a pandemic rages throughout the population, wouldn't you want every victim to be treated before it reaches your own doorstep? No man is an island.

Do you depend upon Government "testing" of the food you eat, or the medicines you need, to ensure that they are safe? Do you rely upon gov't to build defense systems so that your family and home might be secure from foreign invasion?

@MzProgressive Your right to life requires you to sustain it, NOT others. You stupid little saying a chain is only as strong as its weakest link doesn't apply. You don't strengthen your chain by weakening the stronger links.

I believe it was Benjamin Franklin who said "You have a right to pursue happiness but you have to chase it yourself"

If we allow our hungry to starve, we are all diminished. If we allow those who need health care to die, we will never be "great" or "moral."

Such a premise is abject Greed, charading as "liberty."

Hmmm.... @2:50 "there is only one fundamental right - the right to life" ... and yet at 3:16 he says "even if the right to food or health care" is a violation of the rights of others. So? The premise here is that the right to "money" ultimately supercedes the right to "life." This is exactly why I can't agree with such a premise.
