They called me a socialist when I suggested the land value tax. Yes, I said, I am a land value socialist and then I asked them what kind of socialist they were. No socialists here they said but I begged to differ asking them what kind of taxes they preferred. Most said the income tax. Then I said, if you think the wages of labor are appropriately taxed, that makes you a wage confiscating socialist. Poor dears just about had a fit.
