Stephen (14) plays "Prelude in Classic Style" by Gordon Young. July 2008. Sorry that the tempo was off throughout this piece. I have shakey hands, but I just love to worship God through music like this!

  • Young man you did a fine job. Some of us have been playing for years and still get the "shakes" every Sunday morning. God's gift to you of music and your love of the organ are obvious. Kepp up the good work!

  • @southernboi59 Thanks for the wonderful comment!

  • I second that. Great job Stephen. And the tempo is just fine. It's one of those pieces, like the Widor Toccata, that plays well fast and slow. Widor, you know, always complained that organists played his piece too fast.

  • @wurlitzer3

Do you really think the tempo is just fine?

I think my problem is that in some parts of it the piece is fast and in others it is not so fast. Thank you very much for your input!

  • It's a good tempo. I didn't even notice your "fast and not so fast." Keep at it.

  • Well, thank you.

  • A Tid Bit To Fast And Way Much Smoother. Your Right Hand To Choppy. It Should Flow smooth & freely. Keep working on it. Advice. Watch & Lisen To Other Organist Perform The same Piece.

  • This is one of my favourite organ pieces. You played it quite well, I think the tempo was too fast and I usually like fast tempos.

I have uploaded this on my channel at the speed I have heard it played many times before which is not as fast.

  • Stephen, your tempo was just fine. And after over twent years my hands STILL shake. Hold your head up high young man, but remember to give God the Glory for His wonderful gift of music. Garry

  • fantastic playing -well done
