Tuning the internet options in Internet Explorer 8 and below for speed

Learn how to speed up Internet Explorer by removing junk files and add-ons or disabling them,

By increasing the Temporary File Folder size for Internet Explorer 8 and making it not empty your old temp folders during exit your browser does not have to redown a website from the internet. It can just load the website from your local hard drive which is a lot faster then redownloading the website from online.

If you view the website or video a lot you can also press "Ctrl+S" or File - Save website .

You can use http://keepvid.com to download flash video or the latest version of real player to download from other sites.

You can also disable toolbars, and extensions which can use up some system resources to download the current weather, news, and other info which it displays on your toolbar.

In Internet Explorer8 options you can also set your browser homepage to nothing, so you do not have to wait for IE to load a website everytime it starts.

If IE is still slow then your PC might be infected by spyware, a virus, or your computer needs a better CPU or more RAM. You can also try doing a disk defrag, scan disk, and disk or registry clean up. It might help a little bit.

Try switching to Google Chrome or Opera if everything else fails since I notice Opera and Chrome are fast. You can also try out Avant browser which is a modded version of IE.
