That's why IMHO I like to ignore certain stuff like that, for example: Beth being Alistair's daughter & THAT explained why she was so sick, Vincent being controlled by Alistair & forced to do sick things, the psycho lesbian Charlie actually being Alistair in disguise in drag, etc., because Alistair being the true force behind all of those villains discredits them & takes away from their actions & power. IMHO Alistair's connection to them in any way, shape, or form is simply NON-Canon to me.
You can bet that if the show were still running today that they'd make Alistair be the one pulling Tabitha's strings too. (rolls my eyes again)
Connecting Alistair to every sick villain in Harmony who proved to be more powerful & entertaining than he was, in an attempt by the writers part in order to keep Alistair as the main sickest villain of all in Harmony was something that had REALLY always pissed me off as it had discredited the actions of those other villains who were better than him.
In ALOT of ways he proved to be even MORE sicker than the Joker from Batman, and THAT'S truly saying something!
It really sucks though how they had degraded his character when the Blackmailer saga was over in August 2007 by revealing that Alistair was the one pulling Vincent's strings & forcing him to do all of that sick stuff. (rolls my eyes) I mean really! Does Alistair REALLY have to be the one behind everything?! Can't a villain in Harmony be a evil sicko in their own independent right?
I agree! Vincent should've gotten the #1 spot hands down! Never in my life have I seen such a weirder & ironically powerful fictional villain as Vincent! He was an EXTREMELY INTELLIGENT/genius level, cunning, manipulative, rich, crossdressing, transvestite, half man/half woman, incestuous (slept with his own uncle & father and bore his father's child - seriously I'M NOT MAKING THIS UP!), murderous, twisted, truly sick villain. He made Alistair literally look like a saint by default.
hahaha, ITA!! The show did jump shark after about 2002-2003ish...but for me, especially after 2005, when Luis went off to look for "Marty" and was basically the end of Shuis! :(
But yes, Vincent was insane...SOD just did 10 best lists, and somehow, Vincent was only #5 on the list of most psychotic-psychos!! Don't ask me how he didn't get #1, I have no clue.
hence it really being related to the Julian & Theresa marriage & NOT the Alistair & Theresa marriage. One final reason why Tabitha's prediction perfectly goes with that storyline is because that line perfectly fits in with the other pieces of evidence to the buildup of the Julian & Theresa storyline, whilst the Alistair & Theresa wedding/storyline LITERALLY came out of nowhere! Julian lusted after Theresa since day 1 & Alistair (although knowing her) was never interested in her.
was INDEED about her marriage to Julian Crane & not Alistair Crane as it makes much more sense. The writers of the show wouldn't just randomly write something that foreshadows an event/storyline that would happen 6 years into the show's future (ESPECIALLY not knowing if they would've still been on the air in 6 years or not). It makes much more sense for that throwaway line to foreshadow a future storyline that was going to happen somewhere in the early years of the show...
The show totally jumped the shark after Travis had left the role of Ethan because after he had left the show the show stopped being supernatural, stopped trying to continue or resolve storylines established from the beginning of the show, and just got plain weirder & stranger (even for this show and THAT'S truly saying something!) - case in point the character of Vincent, 'nuff said! But I'm getting off-topic here. I personally believe that Tabitha's prediction to Theresa about marrying a Crane.
...prediction. In yet another one of the early episodes when Theresa went to a fortune teller at the Harmony Carnival an old fortune teller (who was really Tabitha in disguise) told Theresa that she would marry a Crane in the future. Later on Theresa marries Julian in 2001. I suppose you could argue that Tabitha's prediction was referring to Theresa's marriage to Alistair in 2005, but personally for me I don't see anything after July 2002 (after Travis Schuldt left the role of Ethan) as canon.
I have these full episodes on my channel is anyone wants to check them out.
