Use nitrile gloves so that you don't have that problem and less mess! :)

I have read that you need to heat it to 240 degrees slowly then take off the heat. I've gotten a cooking thermometer and at 240 degrees it says 'softball' so it sounds about right to me. Haven't tried it with it yet. made some today before I got it and ended up with syrup on the first go and a hard candy on the second. Hope this helps, will try again soon and let everyone know how it worked out.

@youareacrapface yes it in over a long period of doing this you won't have any hair in that area

I did this technique for the first time on my legs...it worked very well, only my fingers started hurting and my skin from the middle finger riped off.......why?

@coffeekoneko I put the pan in the sink and run hot water on it, eventually the water starts steaming. Just leave it, in about two minutes, put it on cold water to cool down the pan, then pick it up and pour out the water, SQUEAKY CLEAN!! WHOOP WHOOP! :-D
Now the real question is how do i get all of this damn sugar paste out of my pan.
