Omg I remember this movie!

@MEgues Some people with farms/in the country have them sometimes... I'm outside of town and there's this guy down the street who used to have peacocks. I'm not sure the reason why though... but it DOES seem to happen none too infrequently.
-
@MEgues Possibly being kept as a pet?

what does a peacock have to do here? a peacock is from India nt from the country..

What are those odd watermarks, like one at 9:31 and another one was before.
-
@NaiTaiDai Probably trying to steal someone else's food in the past?
-
@NaiTaiDai He sold it like the one in Pinocchio (the book)

Note that this is a Hungarian cartoon
Back in the days of the Kingdom of Hungary (which included today's Hungary, Slovakia, and large chunks of Ukraine and Romania) Peacocks were a common symbol of status
They were originally kept by royalty as living decoration for their gardens, but rich farmers would later start emulating this as a way to show-off in front of their neighbors.
In some rural areas of Hungary, Slovakia, and Ukraine, this is still kept alive out of tradition

That frog is probably the cutest thing I have ever seen.
Thank you so much for uploading this so that I can finally watch it. I had an old VHS copy of Rikki Tikki Tavi and The White Seal and both of them advertized this movie, so I've wanted to watch it since I was a kiddo.
I already saw the cut version and seeing this one all the way through, everything suddenly makes sense. OxO Why do they cut things? Children see worse on the six-o-clock news.
