So the IRA were the only ones setting off bombs? The UDA, UVF, and LVF never set bombs off or butchered civilians? The IRA attacked both the brits and loyalist targets. The loyalist paramilitaries attacked the Catholic/Nationalist/Republican community.

  • Gerry can speak Klingon.

  • Why wasn't Gerry's paedophile brother invited?

  • This man was the head of an organisation responsible for killing innocent children How these yank cunts who couldn't find Ireland on a fucking map can invite him over and applaud him is beyond my comprehension. Disgusting.

  • @51wins

No it wasn't the Ulster Project, but I know others who have worked with Ulster Project. There are a few orgs which do the same thing. I know someone who ended up in Utah when he came over under a similar program. I never said that SF represented all Catholics or Republicans. If that were so than there wouldn't be other Nationalist/Republican parties.

I wouldn't piss on Gerry or Martin if they were on fire.

  • @AmericanFenian

Would that have been with the Ulster Project ?

I just wish you could accept the fact that Protestant people suffered greatly at the hands of the IRA especially along border areas. This idea you may have that all Catholics are supporters of Sinn Fein is wrong!

Often many decent Catholics came to Protestant homes and offered their support and told them the IRA doesn't represent them. The same in the Republic of Ireland the majority of people would have nothing to do with the IRA

  • B.T.W I've worked with several charities since the age of 10 for the people in the 6 counties. One of which was bringing children from the both the Nationalist and loyalist community to the States together over the summer.

Next year will also be my 2nd trip to the 6 counties.

Well at the height of the UDA's popularity they had an estimated membership strength of 30 thousand. Now that number is much smaller with a few hundred active members. Stop trying to bull shit people. Did a tit for tat go on by both sides? Yes, but the loyalist paramilitaries killed nearly all civilians. Maybe they were to thick to separate Catholic/Nationalist/Republican and IRA.

  • @AmericanFenian

Why do you assume that just because im against the IRA I must therefore be a Loyalist UVF/UDA supporter. This shows you have no idea about what is happening in Northern Ireland.

Most Protestants NEVER supported the UVF or UDA. They also did murder civilians and for that reason they never got big support. Unlike the IRA where the Catholic community happily supported the murder and bombing of civilians.

This video is about SF/RA naturally therefore I commented on them !

  • @51wins

No we wouldn't support the KKK that's why we oppose their brethren the Orange Order. Any sane American should support the Irish Nationalist cause for a united Ireland.

"We succeeded in proving that Irishmen are ready to die endeavouring to win for Ireland those national rights which the British Government has been asking them to die to win for Belgium." James Connolly

  • @kermithehomo I meant without belgium's support. My english is not good

  • The IRA wouldn't be what's it today with you belgium's support

  • Respond to this video...

that's quite a big turn out.

I'd have though all the catholics would have stayed indoors shagging their own kids.

  • @freeeeelibyan yeah,, didn't quite happen for addams when the IRA gave up and surrendered.

    oh dear

    belgians never give up

  • I ask any Americans that maybe watching this video...would you support extreme Muslim groups who were supportive of 9/11, would you support the murder of civilians?

Would you support the KKK in the murder of Black/Asian or other ethnic minorities? They would be murdering fellow Americans but surely you would never support such actions....

If your answer is NO you wouldn't support them, then likewise you wouldn't support the IRA in the murder of Irish civilians!

  • comment below continued:

Just because Gerry Adams took part in peace talks which after years finally led to almost peace in Northern Ireland doesn't mean the guy isn't a hared terrorist scumbag. He isn't one bit sorry for those he/his organisation has killed.

Again facts are facts....the big majority of Irish people across the island of Ireland don't support Republicanism nor do they support Sinn Fein or the IRA. Ireland has moved on and Gerry and his IRA are not part of the new Ireland!

  • Facts are Facts!

Gerry Adams was the leader of a terrorist organistion, one that murdered thousands including hundreds of his own Irish Roman Catholics. Bombed and shot civilians men, women and children, very hard for people in the USA to understand the kind of things that went on unless they lived here or have family here but when you see bodies on the streets for days! or people having being blown to bits then you'll know what the IRA was really like!

  • no-one in eire gives a fuck about ulster only the ira and scum lovers do,having to deal with the ira would have the irish parliment running for cover

  • no piece of land is worth the blood of innocent people.RIP the victims of omagh and enniskillen

  • 26 bankrupt counties, owned by the krauts.LOL.

  • @TrueNovice

The idea of paying of terrorists isn't nice but everyone knows it goes on. Infact Loyalists have openly demanded money in some cases so they will destroy their weapons.

Doesn't take away from the fact Gerry Adams is/was a terrorist leader, possibly responsible for at least 1 murder. However has hundreds of civilians blood on his hands. Even the Irish Government won't deal or talk with Sinn Fein or have anything to do with them.

  • @51wins And how much did they pay to fight the IRA? Several Billion. Relatively speaking, $26 million was a bargain. Can't argue with success. The Americans promised a a multi billion aid program for Vietnam, if the North would make nice for a few years, but we lucked out, the agreement totally collapsed and they got nothing. Maybe we luck out in Afghanistan and Iraq soon.

  • @TrueNovice

Adams was a terrorist leader and rightfully until an IRA ceasefire (possibly never) should be allowed into the USA or any other nation that lists the IRA has a terrorist organisation.

The British were right to call him a terrorist and sky on Sinn Fein and they did so right up until a few years ago (maybe still going on today).

We know of one example where the British Government let the IRA walk away with £26million as a pay off to many of its members.
