if you look the history of industrial revolution, you will realize that all important inventions produced world-wide impacts, even a philosopher said "the real enemy of the market is not the ideology, but the engineer"
when the engineers find a one-person free source of energy, think about the consequences it will represents.

CNC history is great, but it has not caused job loss, people in hole have more potential with the effect of cnc ability to make more with less manpower. Allow for a greater population density, more jobs.
