The 1 and 3 trains leave from 72 Street simultaneously

The 1 and 3 trains of the New York City Subway (IRT) leave uptown from the 72nd Street subway station simultaneously. The 3 train (express) is heading towards 148th Street (Lenox Terminal) in upper Manhattan, while the 1 train (local) is heading towards 242nd Street-Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx. Both the 1 and 3 trains are 10 car sets of R62's. The video was taken on January 7th, 2008.

1 and 3 trains are ok but worse move they made was taking out the red birds. Those subways were classic. then again i'l take the subway cars thats on the 1 or 3 line anyday over the piece of shit R142s and the rest of the new cars. new subway cars are boring

The Trains are Great On The Subway Line In Manhattan is Better 1 Train And 3 Train is better Than 4 Train R142 and R142A

both of these lines should already have R142 or R142A

Of course the 3 will win - almost always the R-62s (built by KRC) are faster than the R-62As (on the 1) built by BBD.
