Ask your Florida legislator to keep state college tuition affordable!

Florida's Legislature is currently considering Senate Bill 762 and House Bill 403. Together this legislation, if enacted, will skyrocket the cost for four years of education at Floridas state universities and colleges.
If you have a teenager, by the time your kid goes to college the yearly cost, just for tuition, will jump from around $3,600 today to $6,500 or more within five years. Thats a 72% increase just for tuition, not including dorm, books or living expenses.
If you are considering buying Florida Prepaid College Plans for your kids, this legislation will double the cost of these plans beginning immediately.
Why is the State Legislature pushing these changes when a recent university survey showed 78% of Floridians are opposed to these increases?*
If Florida is to be a great state, it must ensure that everyone can afford an education at one of Floridas fine state colleges. Florida should not disenfranchise anyone.
Time is short and the legislation is quickly passing through house and senate committees.

People are loosing their jobs left and right. We are very lucky because we enrolled our 4 kids 7 years ago with the Florida Prepaid College. I believe we paid $8,000 per kid. This is the most powerful country in the world. How are future parents going to afford to send their kids to College when right now we are all just surving this economic situation. Without education there is no progress!
