  • FYI, this is from an A7-H (Hellenic) and not from the A-7 Echo one, sadly decomissioned by now :(

    Hence the starter reving up on starup, instead of the GPU just supplying air to the engine... thanks cipher ;) still flying low ;)

  • the Hotel was much better in startup than the Echo...

    there wasnt any 1-2-3-4 at all :)

    if we would only had upgrade them at early 90's.....

  • Man, I hated working around those things on the flight deck. One has to be careful around jet intakes and exhausts, but one had to be especially careful where the A-7 was concerned. Even at a minimal throttle settings the exhaust would knock you down a good hundred feet or more from the tail pipe (one only need to be 50 feet or so away from the exhaust of most other birds to be safe moving around behind them) and the intake could suck you in even at minimal taxi speeds.
