Maury Wagy served in Patton's Third Army, as a Jeep driver. His job was to escort officers wherever they needed to go--often up to the front lines, to scout for artillery positions.

Now, he lives in a condo with his wife. He was sitting in a recliner watching a Cardinals game while I was setting up a couple of lights. I asked if he was ready, and he said "I suppose...but I still don't know why you want to talk to me. You should be talking to someone who was there at the invasion."

As though he didn't really do anything important.
