  • One silly question from real beginner , should I use float with drop fishing rig or just the rig as u shown us without a float on the surface , thanks

  • @MikesPowerAus Use it on the bottom, the weight will make the rig sink and the worm will suspend off the bottom.

  • when your tieing the hook on the line thats on the pole already how far would you say double it over or how far back like

  • @arkansasfisherman for the slack line? i get about 6-8 inches up the line then tie the palomar know i dont cut it off until i put it through the top of the hooks then i trim it to where i want the weight sorry if this answer that you were lookin for kindof a confusing question lol

  • i thought i was on the neko rig video when i commented first i meant to say a neko rig is like a reverse darter head.

  • @Bassfishing022 haha i figured lol thanks for checkin it out lol

  • This has got potential i think, Ive not seen this fished over here in the uk, But im going to give it a go for pollack / bass fishing off my kayak. Im going to fish it slightly differently than you as i cant get the same type of weights over here, i would have to import them, So im going to use what we call a "rotten bottom" link, which is a piece of mono that is 5-10lb test so if the lead does get stuck then i can pull out as by braid is around 30lb test. Thanks for posting

  • Awesome man.. you taught me how to tie on my first drop shot rig.. Now on to practice fishing it

  • great rig it works very well here in nj. i use a slugo and they kill it. thanx for sharing.

  • @arkansasfisherman

I get your question. All you neede to do is tie like 2 extra feet of what you would call a "tag" end then tie your Sinker on accordingly so that you can be sure to have enough space. Hope this is the answer you were looking for!

  • Great setup and nice rig.

  • @colbybassmaster yea it did and i know it was confusing i had to retype it twice it twice because it didnt make since to me and thanks this will defiantly be my new knot for pond catfishing
