Total Solar Eclipse 2008 Novosibirsk

With other ten Greek amateur astronomers we travelled for the Total Solar Eclipse 2008 on the 1st of August to Novosibirsk!
After an eighty minutes drive we were
55km SW of Novosibirsk City beside the Ob Sea near
Borovoye village!
The place was fantastic since from the beginning we decided
to watch the Eclipse near the lake and not to the crowded city!
So we had the chance to hear a night bird's loud howl and watch flocks of birds flying in front of the corona!
Also you may listen the childen speaking in Russian -about 4 of them- who came near us, we gave them glasses and let them view the sun through scopes!
I wish to everyone to watch a totality once in a lifetime!
Don't ask me... you may meet me somewhere next year on
the 22/7/2008 watching a totality of about 6.38min!!
