  • wow. really amazing.

  • This is a thing of beauty.

  • give us a ride please, lights, camera, action !

  • @myrryxmas He has a 1933 ''Twin Six''.

  • Nobody makes um like That anymore..

  • @packardtwelve ... that is a fact... jay leno has a '32 or '34 packard twelve. according to him, the motor has NEVER been taken apart and still doesn't burn or leak oil and runs like a dream.

there's a video here on youtube of a nickel balancing on edge on a running packard straight eight.

    a-mazing!

  • @gunslinger2172 ... not to pick nits, but these weren't the same engines - they were just manufactured by the same company.

the automotive V-12 displaced 452 cubic inches, the PT boat motors were in the ballpark of 2,500 cubic inches.

wikipedia has a number of excellent articles about them.

as to the car motors, i helped my father rebuild the V-12 in his 1933 Packard Victoria Coupe about 40 years ago. i still have the factory technical and repair manual for it. wish i still had the car.

  • Wow - no valve tap or sounds at all.

Was that engine a side valved motor?

  • I swear the fan is louder than the engine!
