@Aspenfolk Thank you for your kind comments. There is also a beautiful version of 'Poems, Prayers and Promises' on the Carpenters TV special. I do agree that these TV specials fully deserve a DVD relesase.

After seeing this, I'm now wondering whether this, or the 1973 BBC tv show peformance is the best version of this song as they are both magical. I can hear nothing but honesty in his voice and thanks for uploading this!
The only released footage of Red Rocks 1973 I have is on a DVD called a songs best friend, but even that is merely just snippets and not the whole concert. I would like to see the whole thing!

Kinda hard for me to 'grok' that I was *there*, in 1973, nearly FORTY years ago...wow! In fact, that was my VERY first concert, too. It was a TRULY magical evening.
I attended all of JD's Red Rocks Concerts and they ALL were magical. I owe JD a huge debt of gratitude for his music, which forms part of my livelihood to this day.
