Mark Laurent - OR IS IT THAT..? (images & music)

This project started as a series of what I thought to be random images. However there seem to be story lines developing under the surface of our lives at every moment, and sometimes we notice them. It's a bit like looking at a tapestry's back side and seeing the confused mesh of threads, then turning the thing right-side up again to rediscover the picture there.
The inspiration to put this together came from an article I read recently, written by Rob Yule, on the life and work of New Zealand painter Colin McCahon.

Hi there - thanks for your lovely comment on my video, I appreciate you taking the time to have a look. Actually the question "Do I believe..." was a random doodle on a piece of jotting paper which I used because I liked the symmetry of the question and the challenge it offers us. I know that at various times most of us do question the things we believe, and it's right that we do, as the truth can stand any amount of questioning, and if it can't then it's probably not the truth.

The reflections of the window are great Mark. :-)

You can only get into the habit of believing if you first believed. God doesn't care how you get there...as long as you do. We spend far too much time worrying about the process.

After all, if we hold hands with a friend, we don't need to know how or why those hands are constructed, just that they are there for us.
