Since 1972, CEP Forensic Engineering Inc. (CEP) has been a leader in the very specialized field of forensic engineering and sciences. CEP is the largest Canadian owned forensic company in Canada .
Our mission has always been to apply our engineering expertise to assist our clients in understanding the causes of failures and accidents and take appropriate actions depending on their respective professional practice.
At the beginning, our expertise was exclusively in the fields of electrical engineering and fire origin and cause (O&C) investigation. Over the years, we have grown to a company of 50 employees with offices in Montreal-Laval, Quebec City, Ottawa and Toronto. Our fields of practice have also evolved to now include all fields of engineering practice (electrical, civil, mechanical, structural, material science) and more recently, the field of polymer chemistry.
Over the past 30 years, our clients have entrusted CEP to:
• conduct more than 28 0000 technical investigations,
• appear as expert witnesses in court more than 500 times, with results having benefitted our clients in most cases.
I am studying the career forensic engineering. I would like to ask, if my research is correct, if forensic engineering is the study of malefactions of machines, and/or the investigation of any accident.
