BCR loves to help out and support wild feline conservation!
We were asked to participate in a project that collected fecals from captive snow leopards, in order to be used to train dogs to identify the smell. These dogs will be used out in snow leopard habitat to better help the researchers.
Helping out the snow leopard is important as lets face it, the leopard doesn't have the fact that people can ride up to it sleeping on the plains on a jeep and grow fascinated by it like the lion. It lives in rugged areas that see very little tourism.

  • look at the eyes, beautiful that would be amazing to work there or volunteer what ever

  • You can find out how to volunteer at our website bigcatrescue*org

  • I wish I could find more people who care about the welfare of ALL animals, not just the human species.

I live in a big city, where most of my co-workers come from even bigger cities (NYC), so they don't know the wonders found in woodlands, fields, and streams.

Try to get them interested in animal conservation, you'll have your work cut right out for you. They're decent people, they just have little experience with wildlife.

  • VickiOrMindyB, you will find hundreds of animal loving people at ChatBigcats*com. Check it out. (Not a chat room)

  • pretty snow leopard, and 1 question why is in a cage? should it be in the wild ?

  • BingoXBoy, the cats at Big Cat Rescue have nice sized Cat-A-Tats(yards). They were born into captivity elsewhere. When we take in a cat we give it as much room as possible. Unfortunately, when a wild cat is born into captivity it can't be released into the wild. We did not make these cats captive, we are simply trying to give them as good a home as possible for the remainder of their lives. We have successfully released a bobcat into the wild and followed-up on her progress. See our website.
