Gentleman, this is what a ballgame is supposed to look like. The park reminds us what the game was like before money, franchises, and steroids. The ballpark brings out the character that had been sleeping during the years of ESPN, Jose Canseco and Barry Bonds. It removes the steroid era and takes the minds of young and old men alike to a time of innocence where a simple game could make children dream and men cry. Ladies and Gentleman, this is baseball. This is Tiger Stadium.

Thank you so very much for your videos! I am a native of Detroit and a huge tiger fan. So many memories from so many visits of this beautiful place. Seeing this video makes me feel good, but at the same time sad. I just wish I could go there again, but that will never happen. Your videos help fans to see it one more time. Tiger Stadium, gone but not forgotten

Great video, thanks for sharing. Don't sniff that dirt too much though because I spread some of my Dad's ashes on it while running the bases on Father's Day of the final season :-)

Just think if they had spent half the money they did on Comerica Park, and remodeled and improved Tiger Stadium (like they have done with Fenway). Repainted the inside Green, added some luxury suites, remodeled the concourses, and removed the ugly metal siding on the outside. That would have been without a doubt the coolest ball park in Major League Baseball.

"Tiger Dirt!,,It's HolY! "...luv it

They should of kept tiger Stadium who ever decided to tear it down should be shot it's a historical park. Fenway Park in Boston opened the exact same day as tiger stadium april 20th 1912 and The Red Sox still play there they were going to tear it down but the red sox have a good owner unlike the tigers shame on you Mike Ilitch.

They should of kept it there the Tigers now could of played there on special occasion

I cried when the fans started to cheer "Lets Go Tigers." To feel what those old Tiger greats must have felt standing there.
Jesus why'd they have to tear her down? I only had the PRIVILEGE of attending a few games there when I was younger. Comerica is a great park, but it will NEVER have the same vibe as the great old park. =(

@thebig1 I love the old astros logo with the astrodome in it. really cool

@31Dodgerfan I felt the same way when the Astros moved out of the Astrodome for the 2000 season. I mean I love Minute Maid Park but Astrodome holds alot of memories for me just as Tiger Stadium for Detriot fans.
Cash, Kaline, Horton, Lolich I remember those old Tigers and my man Gates Brown.
Thanks fmaske, that was a good look.
