It was cloud-to-cloud lightening, it wasn't coming up from the ground...

It's slowed down 10 times, not 3.

I meant in the video editor I slowed it down 3 times at the end..and yes 300fps is 10 times slower.

There was a lot of lightning in one spot, so I put the camera on a tripod and let it run pointing at that spot.
